New Orleans has a new traffic and flood tracker app

Posted by James B. Guest, Esq | Aug 16, 2017 | 0 Comments

How timely! The Mayor's Office release a new web application that charts street flooding and traffic incidents reported to the city.

More from the Curbed article:
"The Mayor unveiled the incident-monitoring application days after New Orleans residents voiced concerns about not knowing which streets to avoid during the August 5 storm.

The web-only application, powered by the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (NOLA Ready), can be used on both desktop and mobile devices.

It has two separate tracking tabs: Traffic incidents and reported street flooding. So far, the application pin points streets and intersection affected by incidents, but does not give detailed information about the incident.
The map only records incidence in the Orleans Parish limits.

To use the map, visit NOLA Ready's Streetwise website.
